Una constante en Susanne S.D. Themlitz tiene que ver con la construcción de las imágenes, con los procesos mentales que determinan su particular imaginario.

Es interesante su uso de lo onírico: «¿Dónde comienzan las alucinaciones en las artes plásticas? Porque unir A y C puede parecer absurdo si falta B, pero B sigue ahí. Tomamos atajos o unimos lenguajes porque en el fondo todos somos traductores o, lo que es lo mismo, cada uno es un enorme sistema digestivo».

Y sí, estos «poemas» son una invitación de Susanne para que los hagamos nuestros, que los «traduzcamos», que sepamos digerirlos… lentamente. Sin olvidar que para Susanne texto, objeto e imagen poseen el mismo valor, estableciendo a partir de ellos diferentes narrativas, o mejor «espacios mentales».

While uniting A and C may seem absurd if B is missing, B is still there. Sometimes we take shortcuts and unite languages, since in the end we are all translators or, what is the same, each of us is an enormous digestive system.»Indeed, these «Poemas» are the artist’s invitation to create our own, for us to «translate» them, to «digest” them—but slowly. We should recall that for Themlitz, text, object and image have the same value, drawing from them varied narratives, or better yet, «mental landscapes».
