Todas las esculturas que se presentan aquí, surgen de un mismo punto de origen que se expandió, y muestran abiertamente las huellas del proceso, que ha sido una sucesión de decisiones diarias. La superficie revela cómo es su estructura interna, formada por estratos de madera y pasta de papel, y también se puede intuir el tiempo vivido en el taller que ha tenido que transcurrir desde el comienzo hasta que se considera terminada cada obra. Las vetas de la propia madera, por su parte, añaden más franjas a la ya enmarañada aglomeración de sedimentos, y dan cuenta del proceso de crecimiento del pino del que provienen. Por eso, esta serie de esculturas se titula «Incidencia acumulada». Son el cúmulo de muchas acciones, accidentes, decepciones, sorpresas.

All the sculptures on view here came about from the same point of origin that kept expanding, openly displaying the traces of the process, based on a succession of daily decisions. The surface exposes the inner structure, made up of layers of wood and paper paste, and one can also intuit the time that must have elapsed in the studio from the beginning until each work was considered finished. On the other hand, the veins of the wood add more layers to the already tangled mesh of sediments, and also speak of the process of growth of the pine tree from which they came. That is why this suite of sculptures is called “Cumulative Incidence”. They are the sum of many actions, accidents, disappointments and surprises.
