Cuando se acabe la fiesta

Irene Anguita explora su lenguaje pictórico a través de la juventud que la rodea. Luego de haber participado en 2022 en PADA Studios en Portugal y Ladrón de Guevara en México, su investigación se centra ya no en lo narrativo –y por ende figurativo– si no en la propia pintura y las posibilidades que distintos materiales pueden aportarle. Lienzos con una carga emocional que al mismo tiempo hablan del contexto que le ha servido como pozo teórico, pero ahora desde un lugar menos juvenil y más existencial. El proyecto para ArteSantander, «Cuando se acabe la fiesta» –realizado ex profeso– continúa con esta investigación alrededor de un sentimiento más profundo de lo que hoy significa transitar la juventud, afianzando el lenguaje de Irene como pintora de su generación

Irene Anguita explores her pictorial language through the youth surrounding her. After participating in 2022 in PADA Studios in Portugal and Ladrón de Guevara in Mexico, her research is no longer focused on the narrative -and therefore the figuration- but on the painting itself and the possibilities different materials can bring. Canvases with an emotional charge speaking at the same time of her context, which has served her as a theoretical frame, but now from a less juvenile and more existential place. The project for ArteSantander, “When the party is over” –painted expressly for the fair– continues with her investigation centered on a more profound feeling of what being young means today, strengthening Irene’s language as a painter of her generation.
