Eden & Lernout

En su trabajo artístico, la pareja germano–belga Eden/Lernout ha estado lidiando con diferentes aspectos artísticos que giran en torno a la movilidad dentro de espacios geográficos y sociales, como la migración o el vuelo. Con sus sugerentes obras, Eden/Lernout han logrado combinar la esencia de sus piezas entre el mostrar y el ocultar. Eden/Lernout presentan al observador una superficie abstracta, de aspecto pictórico pero en el primer plano, en la parte inferior, la imagen se encuentra cargada de política. Para Arte Santander recopilaremos una selección de pinturas de objetos tridimensionales en madera y DM que interactúan entre sí. De esta forma, el ambiente y la experiencia espacial se redefinen y se crea una comunicación directa entre las obras.

In their joint artistic work, the German–Belgium couple Eden/Lernout has been dealing with different artistic aspects that revolve around mobility within geographical and social spaces, such as migration or flight. The political, socioeconomic and ecological origins are reflected in various ways. With their suggestive works Eden/Lernout have succeeded to combine the essence of their oeuvre. Eden/Lernout present an abstract, painterly–looking surface in the foreground versus political charged lower picture levels. At Arte Santander we will show paintings and objects in wood & mdf that interact with each other. This way, the environment and spatial experience is redefined and a direct communication between the works is established.
