Summer epicentre of contemporary art

ARTESANTANDER, the second longest-running fair in the country and the great artistic event of the Spanish summer, has closed its doors with great success in terms of public attendance and a good reception of the new releases of the edition. Through its parallel programme, it has created a space in which collectors, artists and gallery owners have been able to meet each other and delve deeper into their proposals. During the days of the fair, a complete programme has revealed the cultural and artistic wealth of the city of Santander, which has become the epicentre of artistic creation of the Spanish summer, with visits to spaces such as the Centro Botín, the Naves de Gamazo of the Enaire Foundation, the Nave Sotoliva, fluent or the Santander Art Museum.

Collecting was also the focus of the ARTESANTANDER Talks programme of talks and presentations, which allowed visitors to learn about the latest news in the art market with the interventions of María García Yelo, CEO of CHRISTIE’S Spain, and the architects and collectors Jorge Fernández Gómez and Álvaro González Cerezo, as well as some of the artist books present in the new ARTESANTANDER Editorial space, which brought together five art publishers in one of the areas of the fair.
