The Canary Islands, geographically located in Africa and politically belonging to Europe, receive great influence from America and are a very particular territory in which very special artists emerge.
In 1989, the Artizar Gallery was born to give visibility to these Canarian artists in the local, national and international context. In addition, Artizar has specialized in Cuban art, particularly that of creators most linked to poetics, spirituality and African roots.
