The Canary Islands, geographically located in Africa and politically part of Europe, are greatly influenced by the Americas and are a very unique territory where very special artists emerge.
The Artizar Gallery was founded in 1989 to give visibility to these Canarian artists locally, nationally, and internationally. Furthermore, Artizar has specialized in Cuban art, particularly that of creators most closely linked to poetry, spirituality, and African roots.
